Dentist Blog

If you have a missing tooth, chances are you're unhappy with how your smile looks and feels. You don't have to live with a gap in your smile forever. Thanks to continued advancements in the dental world, dental implants have come a long way and are regularly used to improve smiles. These implants look and feel like a real tooth so they will fit in nicely with the rest of your teeth. Here are some reasons to consider getting a dental implant

It Looks Realistic

Many people want to improve their smile when they have a missing tooth, but they may fear that getting dental work done will actually make the situation worse. Dental implants are very realistic and no one will know that it's not a real tooth! You can smile with confidence knowing that your entire smile looks good.

Feel More Confident

When you're uncomfortable with how your smile looks, it can really impact your overall confidence. If you feel uncomfortable smiling, a dental implant can change your life. You'll feel better when you're out in public and it can help you improve your confidence.

Makes Eating and Talking Easier

When you have teeth missing, it can alter how you sound when you talk. It can also be more challenging to eat certain foods. If you want to make it easier to eat and talk, investing in a dental implant is a smart idea. You'll feel more comfortable eating and talking and going about your normal daily affairs.

Dental Implants Last a Long Time

This is a good solution if you want a dental procedure that will be durable. Dental implants can last a very long time as long as you keep up with regular care. Some individuals are able to keep their dental implants for a lifetime. This is a smart investment because it can bring you years of happiness and can greatly better your life.

Improve Your Dental Health

Letting your missing teeth go for years is not a good plan. It's bad for your surrounding teeth, oral health, and your bone structure. A dental implant can better your dental health and keep your smile looking and feeling great for years to come.

If you're unhappy with your missing tooth and you're ready to invest in a dental procedure, contact a local dentist. They can help you decide if a dental implant is a good choice for you!

Coping With Dental Emergencies

My son was outside playing with some friends when he accidentally fell down and hit his mouth on the sidewalk. The fall knocked out his front tooth, so I immediately placed the tooth in a small jar and added some milk. I rushed my son to the dental clinic and the dentist immediately took us into the examination room. The dentist placed the tooth back into the socket and saved it. My name is Beverly Tillman and thanks to the quick work of the dentist, my son didn't lose his tooth. Since this was a scary time for me and my son, I wanted to write this blog as a source of information for other parents who are facing a dental emergency. First of all, don't panic and get to your dentist as soon as possible. I hope this blog will help to answer your questions about dental emergencies.
