Why You Need Same-Day Dentures

Dentist Blog

If you have lost teeth from a traumatic injury or irreversible decay, you'll need quick dental restoration services. When you opt for same-day dentures, it is easy to resume normal activities without feeling self-conscious. Indeed, you don't have to make do with gaps in your mouth since these dentures offer instant solutions.

If you've been using dentures that don't feel right inside your mouth or you have an inevitable tooth extraction, immediate dentures offer the protection you need after teeth removal. You must link up with an experienced dentist who understands instant denture technology. After your teeth are extracted, they fix instant dentures instead of waiting months to get conventional dentures.

Here are reasons why you need same-day dentures.

Promotes Healing

Your mouth is vulnerable to infection after you've had several teeth extracted. Same-day dentures can enhance the healing process. These dentures are custom-made to fit your mouth, and they cushion extraction sites from further injury, trauma, or bleeding. After professional fighting, you can rely on immediate dentures to eat your favorite food.

They're Convenient

If you lead a busy lifestyle and interact with many people, missing or extracted teeth can affect your social life. However, when a dentist recommends same-day dentures, you can resume your daily interactions with peace of mind. Indeed, these restorative dentures are created before your teeth are removed.

You no longer have to wait days or weeks to get traditional dentures. Your dentist will inspect your mouth, gums, and your capacity to heal. You'll leave the clinic with a complete set of teeth though it's the dentist's prerogative to decide whether you qualify for same-day dentures.

Protects Your Mouth

If you've lost teeth, your facial features can lose shape. Same-day dentures help to preserve the shape of your jaw and muscles. With the immediate dentures, you retain your natural shape while your jaw bone and gum tissue heal. These dentures also eliminate signs of wrinkles and premature aging around your mouth. Your dentist aligns the dentures with gums to prevent your cheeks from caving in, and they position them to stop the remaining teeth from drifting inside extraction cavities.

You must consult a reputable dentist to examine your damaged teeth before getting fitted for same-day dentures to avoid structural changes in your dental formation. An experienced dentist will advise you on the best food to eat and methods of taking care of the new dentures.

Coping With Dental Emergencies

My son was outside playing with some friends when he accidentally fell down and hit his mouth on the sidewalk. The fall knocked out his front tooth, so I immediately placed the tooth in a small jar and added some milk. I rushed my son to the dental clinic and the dentist immediately took us into the examination room. The dentist placed the tooth back into the socket and saved it. My name is Beverly Tillman and thanks to the quick work of the dentist, my son didn't lose his tooth. Since this was a scary time for me and my son, I wanted to write this blog as a source of information for other parents who are facing a dental emergency. First of all, don't panic and get to your dentist as soon as possible. I hope this blog will help to answer your questions about dental emergencies.
